Short haul low cost is a well proven, successful business model for Easy Jet, Ryan Air and Southwest Air.
Long haul low cost, not so well known results. Oasis Hong Kong have just folded. Air Asia X, V Australia and J* International relative new comers.
As stated earlier Tiger Oz have no international AOC and the CEO has stated " not on my watch"
SQ will need the A330s for their own routes as their capacity is a bit stretched with the A380 delay.
A few years down the track when SQs new aircraft arrive, if there is a demand who knows ?
