I had a mate who turned down a A310 freighter job cause he wanted to fly something more modern (which he continuely pointed out to them in the interview). They initially said "thats it you only get one chance with us" .
Then 6 months later EK recruiting call saying would he like a B777 course!!!
There is no hard and fast rules here.
