I believe that the sub's are due to certain check's that Bombardier have insisted be carried out on all Dash 8 Q400's worldwide, and all aircraft have to be inspected within a 5 day period. Hence the number of subcharterd aircraft that have suddenly appeared due to Flybe having to pull 4-6 aircraft a day off the line in order to carry out the Bombardier inspections.
