Signed.........................I know there are an awful lot of tomes out there covering the subject of Bomber Command but I feel I must mention 'Bomber Boys' which contains 19 true life experiences occurring between 1942-45. Very humbling to read and this part of one of the paragraphs from the introduction sums up nicely:

"These are the stories of a few of those remarkable yet largely unsung men who helped crush Nazism and were later denied Bomber Command campaign medals by ungrateful and hypocritical governments"

Of 125 000 aircrew, 55 000 lost their lives, 8403 were wounded and 9838, many of them injured, were prisoners of war. Another 2835 men were killed during training in bomber OTU's.

Humbling, very humbling
