Hiring minimums always are in contrast to pilot supply. If there are loads of pilots with experience and the correct typerating, then the companies can adjust their minimums accordingly. If there are only lowtimers or non-experienved pilots, then the companies again have to adjust their minimums accordingly
. Insurance companies will always offer some type of insurance, the minimums of the companies for newhires has to do with how much said company is willing to pay for the insurance.
