Skua :

You're the bod with the Robin from Rochester, who did the gliding day, right ?

I converted my f/w PPL in Oz by going to the CASA office at Bankstown Airport, handing over my UK licence, medical and logbook with A$50, and came back in an hour to collect an Australian Special licence. That allowed me, with some local procedures training, to fly recreationally in Oz. Except I didn't, I learnt to fly helicopters.

And, Andy, the page you link to has the f/w route for the harbour - the helicopter route, Skua, is 500' from Ryde bridges ( off the top of the page ) to the Harbour Bridge, then a climb to 1000' over the outer harbour. Now THAT'S a view !!
