Thumbs up

Hi there,

The info you want is at http://www.basair.com.au/coming_to_australia.shtml

I am from Sydney myself, but have been living here over a decade, and am doing my PPL here at present.

Things are a bit different flying wise at home... so you have to do a short copnversion certification of some sort for local rules etc.

Basair at Bankstown are supposed to be good folks, and they have an excellent website, as does Bansktown airport itself (see http://www.bankstownairport.com.au ) which covers Bankstown, Camden and Hoxton Park - all GA airfields in or near to Sydney.

In particular, and to whet your appetite for a trip to Sydney, why don't you also take a look at the info at the VFR Guide to Sydney at http://www.bankstownairport.com.au/Visual_pilot/ which gives all of the VFR approach and joining info needed for the Sydney Basin Area, and best of all the Sydney Harbour Scenic flight Procedures at http://www.bankstownairport.com.au/V...ydney_harbour/ so you can plan your sightseeing flight over Sydney Harbour

The best bit is the map - makes me homesick... see http://www.bankstownairport.com.au/V...bour/page2.htm
