I am 40 tomorrow as it happens, so started a little earlier, my first flight was Aug 2004 starting PPL, so 3 and a half years ago, now have 1400 hours , good living. Enjoyed the complete change. I am helicopters mind you, but crack on and it's far more about attitude and damn hard work than age or even aptitude.
