Another issue related to this topic that I feel is "under trained" in most simulator scenarios is the Go Around itself. Particularly in newer automated aircraft, a go-around from a position other than DH/MDA (which is prepared for/briefed) can be a sporty event, particularly with a low missed approach altitude.
