ATC: "ABC123 standby"
ABC123: "Copied, we'll stand by"
In frustration with one particular repeat offender I added
"ABC123 standby, I'll call you back"
to which he responds quite casually
"Okay, copied. We'll standby and wait for your call shortly..."
