Have also heard about all the korean crew resignations, but the number was more around the 200 mark. Something to do with Lufthansa opening up a base in Seoul, but yeah don't know for sure.
Also saw the new briefing centre yesterday - very nice. 32 rooms, computer printed bag tags, baggage carousel at arrivals, nice standby area, showers... should be in by June. Pilot briefing rooms next to cabin crews. They get 3 minutes to brief us. Cabin crew briefing is only 12 minutes - everything is timed! Pursers to handle Duty Free float too.
We were also told that out of the 750 applicants for the double deckers that 70 of them were pursers and they reckon that rather than be short of A380 crew they're gonna have to reject some. Was kinda shocked to be honest...
