The danger of course being that the conditions offered won't attract enough experienced crew to ensure a smooth and seamless startup

They will get some existing crew because some crew will always want to operate any new aircraft but the question is how many?
Wait for the ineviteable ads in the CC news asking/imploring for experienced crew with some sweetener added such as a shorter contract time than the posted 2 years.
