The realistic figure would now be something akin to at least what the domestic LCC's are paying. 12 months ago a figure similar to a 40% wage rise in the form of a 12 monthly, no strings attached retention plan would most probably have done it.
As time goes on the "run" is gathering momentum. The domestic airlines continue to attract the best from the regionals despite their own substandard conditions. This is possible because the Regional airlines are still offering way below the market rate. In fact as we know they have made no attempt to retain. Well REX hasn't, the QFlink offer to captains is still whoefully inadequate.
So how much is enough? Frankly now, your guess is as good as mine. I know what it would take to tear up my resume', but as time goes on the rate is surely to go up!
