Hi there
Since tinnitus cannot be detected it is no
restricting condition as long as your hearing
is normal. To a certain extent all people
have tinnitus. In most cases tinnitus
BECOMES a problem when you start thinking
about it too much.
However, go to a ENT specialist for a complete diagnosis.
Since a normal hearing test only covers frequencies from 250Hz to 8000Hz it is
advisable you undergo a so called high-frequency test (from 8000Hz up to 16000Hz)
where you might have a loss.
For your medical(JAR) however you must have no hearing loss in either ear of more than 20dB
for 500Hz, 1000Hz, 2000Hz and of no more than
35dB for 3000Hz.
Hope this helps
