Quite plainly the government and I'd dare say large parts of the industry simply
DO NOT WANT GA to play any meaningful role in the transport system.
Fancy needing or wanting to fly somewhere in one's own aircraft?
One could argue that in larger cities it's just too bad, but what about those places with only one airport? Canberra is a classic example. GA almost eradicated there......
