I can't imagine EK wanting to do any kind of fuel stop - was there not talk of them having something to do with runway improvements at NCL, not sure whether it was length or resurfacing? A 777 would be excellent to see at NCL, though not sure whether we could handle one on a regular basis, unless equipment on the ground was improved. I know the stand EK currently use is capableof handling a 747 sized aircraft, so that wouldnt be a problem. The benefits of extra cargo and passenger capacity would be beneficial not only for the airport but also for the NE region - could generate extra business.
Does the Monarch A330's ever have any performance issues off 25 in the summer, don't recall any, but then again A330 is very different to 777!
