The Foxes have been around for years. Most of them come from outside the field. Although I once attended a reporting of cats by Bravo. They turned out to be two fox cubs....There has been an increase in the last couple of years.
One was seen recently strolling down taxiway Yankee. The other day one just strolled in front of an A/C lined up at Alpha.
Yes they are a pain to chase off. ATC and Pilots have fun calling 'Tally Ho!' over the radio. Don't think one was hit on the runway a couple of weeks ago.....In fact it's a long time since one got hit. I have found a tail in the past that had been ripped off. Can only assume the rest legged it in a lot of pain.
They are a danger. That's why they end up getting chased. Ways are being looked at to reduce them. The problem is that if you get rid of one another usually replaces it pretty quickly.
One of the downsides of living in the middle of a Country Park.....
