I would imagine that due to the winds hitting the Northeast today, the reason for the non standard parking is to point the aircraft into wind. MME has seen it several times over the past month or so...not sure about the bus - possibly due to the angle of the aircraft it might be to ensure passengers aren't wandering around next to the edge of the taxiway!
Wind not too bad at the mo, NCL reporting 230/22G35 so it's only a 7-12kt crosswind.
