Being utterly bored I had a look at the Newcastle Airport Website and had a read of the
MASTERPLAN.
It was actually very interesting, if not a little bit far fetched!
9.5 million passengers by 2016 first caught my eye! The great thing about Newcastle though is at least there is the room availible for the proposed expansions. (
Section 5.0 Development Requirements.)
I sincerely hope that great things do happen for Newcastle Airport, as it's a great place to be based. However, one wonders if all thats forecast in the 'Masterplan' could ever be achived by a company that can't run a baggage system, tries half arsed messures in an attempt to skimp on costs and can't even fix a revolving door!
