Yes, I would recommend Emirates for people who have no other options.

This statement is completely false, perhaps you should ask a BA crewmember to confirm this?
Emirates has its good and bad sides, as does any large airline.
Hey, there are bad sides to working in Europe: it tends to be an expensive place to live, taxes can be high and weather variable...but I accepted this when I left Emirates and Dubai. My EK colleagues couldn't understand me but I knew perfectly well that I had had enough. Lucky for me I made the right decision.
I don't want to discourage anyone from applying to Emirates. It will probably be a great experience and a good introduction to the world of customer service.
All I would say is do not assume that EK as a company is any better to work for than the alternatives...do a little research, speak to people. You may find it's not for you.
