My answer to this question is in my signature line!!
I agree with all the window people. Day or night, rain or shine - if I do not have a window, I feel deprived. Even London to EDI or IOM (which I ought to know by heart) are still interesting every time.
The WORST I have EVER had was being trapped in the middle block in a UA 747-400 in Y. this was SFO to HKG (Kai Tak) and so about a dozen hours and the neighbours all talked at high volume and slurped their noodles. Gak! This could have been an early case of air-rage!
What really made it hurt was that this was a new route for me. OK, I KNOW that most of it would have been water - but I want to see the water OK??!!
As I am shuttling on EZY twixt LTN and EDI a lot, I scoot around to the rear stairs and almost always get a window in the last couple of rows, whilst the mob are blocking the aisle at the front ;-)
