You were deliberately selective in choosing to quote CO's LGW-CLE as an example. How many GSM 757s have just 174 seats on them a la CO ? Even with that kind of load,
quote"most of the time it can be made without the fuel stop."
I suggest you do a trawl around and see how many OSL or TXL - EWR 757 rotations have dropped into Goose or Gander over the last 12 months. You'd be very surprised.
