A LS NYC service would be very limited, in terms of the passengers who would use it. Many passengers who would use a regular scheduled service to NYC would use it to connect to other parts of the US via a carriers hub in wither JFK or EWR, LS do not have this luxury so would therefore be aiming their service at primarily leisure passengers going for breaks etc. Of course there is always the possibility they could link up with Jetblue or similar??
Totally agree. CO/AA/DL with their 752s would be perfect - even if it was US to PHL, it would provide a base for which the Jordies can pass through. It would also mean NCL is open to alot more of America and Americans can come and enjoy what I believe to be the best night out anywhere in the world!
This is probably the reason why GSM failed from LPL. Most transatlantic carriers are either members of Alliances (BA/AA etc.) or have codeshares atleast on one side of the Atlantic. That is why I think VS have done extremely well in the scheduled market from LHR with little connections available!
