Weren't there talks between the MOD and Fife Council at attracting more commercial flights to Leuchars at one point?
With a more accommodating runway [than Dundee] already there, less (all be it only slightly) travel time to Edinburgh and around 30min by coach and 10min by train to Dundee, wouldn't this prove more viable than having carriers operating smaller aircraft into Dundee?
Not sure what fee's are like at Leuchars, but I'm guessing there more than the £9/tonne at Dundee.
