The freight doesn't make more money than the passengers, but it's a very useful addition to the bottom line. The shippers in Guernsey and on the mainland that use the island routes for freight need the extra capacity the jet has. A Q400 fully loaded with pax + bags can only get 100k of freight, and that only if the bags haven't volumed out the hold. Temporary relief for the summer with the 146 staying, but not good news if the 195 still can't be used W08.
