I don't get the philosophy that you decide to open a new route, find out if you didn't already know that destination is either over subscribed with other airlines or not particularly in demand then blame the public for not using it. City Stars demise is City Stars fault not the Aberdeen publics.
Take Stavanger - there wasn't even an attractive price differential so where was the demand going to come from? All that they were doing was diluting an existing market already well served by Wideroe / SAS and latterly Eastern.
Somebody somewhere doesn't do their homework in my opinion.
