In my humble opinion, there is no independence and true impartiality. Auditors, needing desperately the job, will not compromise their "living" or accomplish their
true job otherwise will get a pair of skates. Anything found will be "whispered and nicely talked" amid loads of smiles and fraternal exchanges and a serious "finding" won't go down on the paper so easily

Bear in mind, that these behaviours are common all over (not just this region). I would probably risk saying that Oman may well be an exception in this region for the time being. Oman is here to grow...
