Virgin, the only other financial point to add is that on Brookfield you will be expected, even with a fixed base, to commit up to 20% of your flying year at other bases to cover holidays, sickness, demand etc. When you are away from home base you are paid an additional 20 euro per sched block hour. On most occasions this will be of financial benefit to you. During my last stint at another UK base, on a 39 hour flying week, the additional 780 euros against the total travel and accomodation costs of £155.00, was well worth it. But please note this is a particularly good example.

Also you are only contracted for 11 months of the year plus an additional two weeks leave.

What continues to baffle my simple brain is the number of people on here who have respectively invested in their own businesses, (self funded training) knowingly, in a highly competitive, increasingly lo-cost market and then expect instant high profits (big wages). Perhaps many dont actually view this as their own business venture, rather foolish when you have thrown 50k+ into the industry!!!

Well done on researching the facts and figures.
At thirty plus you could well be looking in the right direction for your circs.
Guys in their early twenties have plenty of time to sit around, moan, miss the boat and wait for the next recruitment boom in 7-8 yrs time.

Good luck.
