I read Bobs book and did the prac exams at the end of the book, took the PCA chart in but without the Sydney WAC and managed 98%. The WAC is required so you have an idea where the great divide is. Get a good grasp on interpreting/decoding the forecasts and how long they're valid for and need to be valid for. And what the alternate requirements are, and general stuff regarding winds, cloud types etc. I enjoyed it, it has definite answers and questions, and they tend not to be debatable like some of the other subjects.
