Some more info for you:
How much: donīt forget a bonus after 3 years of 3000, and 10 years of 10000 euros. Also remember that the netto salary is very dependent on where you live but couls be very good. Send me a PM if you want to know about your country.
The work can be hard on workdays in the summer, but overall itīs quite ok. I am an instructor, which means I fly more than normal line guys and I have never worked as hard as I did in my previous job.
Flexible: The schedule comes out on the 15th of the month for the next month with workdays and days of. This is fixed and cannot be messed about with. Obviously giving the nature of the business a workday is all about flexibility (meaning for instance, you are just about to head to the hotel and they call you to go do another flight, thatīs part of the game).
Days off: I give the company my flexibility on workdays. As a result I expect them to leave me alone on my days off. I have never been called in three days on a day off... Then again I switch my phone off on my days off
Yes they do. At least if you live anywhere close to the 40 bases currently available. For details check out the website.
They do look after you, with a smile towards there own pockets as well, meaning that the hotels are generally of good standard without going over the top. According to the books 3 star hotels would be considered suitable accomodation. However, they normally book a four star hotel unless there are no other options. Stories of soon to be fathers being flown home with one of our own privat jets to make an early delivery of their wives have happened more then onces. On the other hand do not call in sick with bull!!!! reasons, they do not like that. Itīs a give and take deal.
Perks:
- Best flying in the business
- See some famous people (if you are into that)
- Loss of license insurence
- Private medical with BUPA which is excellent!
- Pension (whatever you lay in they increase by 50%, not such a good deal but better then nothing).
- Kidnap and ransom insurance (I know, why for the love of god would you want that).
ciao
