You appear to have not understood Point 1; for someone who appears so determined to work to the letter of the contract and be quote "unhelpful", why do you advocate pitching up before report time (its not like I'm getting paid for it!). If I was on your crew and showed up exactly on report time and then proceeded to read all the docs, would you think of me as hero or zero??
Like I said Bloggs, in my limited time at CX I have experienced the scenarios outined and, save for a couple of weeks in 99 and 01, have never seen a crew member play hardball with the company. Whilst guys are conservative with fuel, the availability of crews and the desires of other crew members do affect the way the options are played out in AFTL's and Rest requirements; to suggest otherwise is fatuous. I have heard a lot, particularly in 01, talk it up large, but their actions said otherwise.
I shall be interested to read the response of others.
