sky, assume that:-
- a crew is rostered to fly a two-sector day
- it is not reasonably possible for both sectors to be completed within normal FTL limits
- a slip crew is not already positioned downroute
- the aircraft is normally-crewed, with no positioning crew for the return
- HotAc has not been pre-booked
In these circumstances it is clear that the company is
expecting the crew to return in discretion. This is not legal. In other words, if they refuse to exercise discretion, the return flight will not happen. They are being rostered into discretion, a total No-No.
