BHX Charetr Flights

stewart-travel
TCX/MYT have not operated their own long haul flights from Birmingham for a few years now, presumably due to payload restrictions on A330s hence the need for the runway extension. TCX will operate 3 757-200s and several foreign charter flights operate in a 'W' pattern to BHX eg SSHx2 and NAP.

TOM are basing a 767-300,2 757-200s and 2 First Choice 757-200s all fully utilised.

MON base an A321 also solely for charter work.

Looking at the XL Website (Most of KMs passengers at BHX are provided by them) all of the winter 2008/9 services have yet to be loaded it shows MAN as only having flights to FUE.

IT flights are in decline and who knows how long the traditional package holiday will exist? This is a national trend. Charter passengers only accounted for 27% of BHX passengers in 2007. So the loss of KM (which is only ever fully utilised during August Summer holidays) and 3 BMI flights will certainly not mean the loss of 1million passengers.

Oh and Turkish Airlines will soon announce BHX-IST 3 times per week.
