"One Stop" Modular

Hello all,

I wonder if anyone could just clarify the exact meaning of this for me, as I’ve heard various conflicting views.(I tried searching pprune on it too)
Even Flybes' Capt Ian Cheese was particularly vague on the subject when I heard him speak.

Are you required to have completed PPL, ground school, hours, CPL, IR, MCC etc at one single school for a typical airline to consider you in this bracket?
Or are we just talking about continuity in provider from CPL onwards?
Are airline interested in what flying you did prior to starting commercial trading?

Apologies if been asked before but appreciate if anyone can clarify?

Cheers
