Considerably more worrying than the tax on AVGAS is the news that the EU is going to tax Jet A1 (AVTUR) on domestic and inter-European flights. This is going to increase the cost of tickets = decrease the number of pax = add more costs to airline bottom lines = airlines have to cut back on staff.
