I would never deny that children need their father's but someone has to be the breadwinner. However I am aware that being a pilot can mean spending alot of time away from home & children can end up feeling resentful, be it their father or mother.

Of course I see no reason why women shouldn't become pilots. In my time & country very few women did unless their father's were in it etc but if they have the opportunity & apptitude why not. I welcome the fact that the career barriers have broken down so much, that women have so much more belief in their abilities & so much more opportunities open to them but I still feel that women sometimes tend to shy away from technical careers out of choice.
