Final Trim

You need to trim your sails & let some of the wind out of them

However as a woman I do agree partly with Captain Ed. If a woman CHOOSES to have children, I feel she should be there for them ESPECIALLY when they are young & not fitted in between her rosters. It is very difficult to have your bread buttered on both sides I feel without causing psychological harm to your children. If she makes a decision to have children she has to be willing to make a commitment & sacrifices for them. THEY are the most important issue as far as I'm concerned. But women are not baby factories & should have the right to be career women if they choose.

As far as women in the cockpit I would imagine it is not just the SIA that lag behind. Woman are often conditioned & encouraged to go for the softer, non technical subjects, partly out of choice & partly because they were not given the option in school. Men appear to take to & enjoy them more anyway, whether it is due to a difference in the male & female brain or opportunity I do not know. But there will always be careers that naturally attract more women & where they excel & the same goes for men.
