I am referring to locals and contractors, ie- permanent contractors.
Some MRO's have planned type courses for connies only to cancel them because the QF guys have fronted up and saved the day. They also reduce o/t possibilities and pay rates. Supply and demand.
There dosen't have to be known industrial action, as in some countries it isnt tolerated. The locals may have their own o/t bans and WTR on, and these QF hero's know nothing of it.
If QF need LAE's for a short term due to understaffing, is it OK for guys from OS to come down under for a working holiday.
Same scenario to me.
