Fancyflying, I answered a similar question to yours on the one of the BA threads.
People do generally go from QF to mainline BA, not many the other way round unless it's due to contracts.
If you are offered a job with QFUK and turn them down, you are pretty much dead to them after that. They won't take you back in 11 months. At least that's what I've been told. I'm open to correction on this but I would be reluctant, if I was in QF recruitment to take someone back because they "wanted to try BA".
As for being "outstanding", I have yet to see evidence of ANY UK airline that can honestly make a claim that their crew is superior. Some may have better training and may have more support but generally crew from all airlines will try to do their best with what they have to do their jobs. Of course, there are some crew who don't have the best attitudes but you can't confine them to one airline.
