Qantas v BA

I've been offered a job with Qantas, but I'd really like to work for BA ...

A couple of questions -
If I apply for BA WW now and get offered a job, does anyone know when the training is? I couldn't actually start until March/April. What happens at the end of the 11 month contract - I know it says there's no guarantee of a permanent job - but would I be able to transfer to a different fleet or do you have to reapply with the possbility of being rejected? Also, what is the 900 rule? Is it that you can't fly more than 900 hours in 1 year?

Would it be better for me to take Qantas and then apply to BA a year or so down the line? I've never been cabin crew, so think it might give me a better chance of getting in with BA if I have cabin crew experience.

I'm just a bit worried that Qantas will become boring for me because they only fly to 3 destinations ...

Also, are Qantas' cabin crew really seen as the 'UK's most outstanding cabin crew'? (as indicated on an advertisement on a couple of cabin crew web sites).
Thanks
