But on the bright side, I would like to tempt fate by suggesting that this years pay award will be around 18%, flying pay will become pensionable, there will be a 50% reduction for married quarters charges and JPA will be scrapped. Statistically, the British armed forces are due the biggest pay rise in 100 years, on 1 April 2008.
