Have any of you ensured, either directly somehow or through Unions, that the Federal Government are aware of this?
Back in the 1960s Ansett sent one Aircraft Overseas (Hong Kong) for Overhaul, and made it clear they intended to then send many more.
This was blocked by the then Federal Government, a Liberal Government even not Labor as now, not so much just about losing jobs here but in "The National Interest", they said that it was necessary to keep this expertise here in Australia in case of any sort of National Emergency or War etc.
