Don't get too mad, check out the small print on the BD9 ONE-WAY + taxes offer:

1. Fares are available for sale until 5 January 2008.
2. Travel is permitted from 13 January until 31 March 2008.

This period is very low as most people are back to work and school and if my memory serves me right, much of the planes around this time to those destination in the sale had many many empty seats.
So why not sell of seats which would be going empty whilst at the same time damage your new competitor?
Of course you good stop flying the planes but then the pilots and crew won't be happy
