I don't know for definate but I believe that the 'new' flying scholarship is designed to give the youngsters an experience of what flying in the RAF may be like. The chaps and chapesses will be shown formation, IF and low(ish)level nav, but they will not have any where near enough time for a PPL. Then they join up and do EFT. . .. .The EFT cse is designed that, if you sit the groundschool exams successfully, you will have completed the requirements for a PPL on graduation.
