I quite agree! Like you, I left CFE for BA but can't help but marvel how soon an outfit which had been profitable for 10 years has been turned round by the new "management". BA of course could never operate relatively low yield Irish Sea and regional routes because of its staggering overhead and lack of focus away from LHR, so franchised them to those that could. Then it buys the franchisees, replaces the small management team with the partial attention of the Waterside hundreds,reapplies the attendant cost burden and lack of attention, and here we are back at square one, £75m poorer,with expensively bought slots being handed to Stelios et al for nothing.
