So much war-fighting is now (rightly or wrongly) jointly controlled -
vide JHC, PJHQ etc etc that the capbadge makes little diffrence IMHO.
Until recently the infantry had IIRC about 32 capbadges - surely the aviators (and aviatrices) can manage with three ......
