There are elements of this story that have the angel on my left shoulder saying: "It could have been you."
Possibly Jim, but surely only up to the point where one starts forcing lorries to swerve out of the way (lorry move out the way! That'll be a first!) and jumping red lights in an attempt to evade chasing police officers.
