Outside additional coverage

Just logged on to start a thread on this very subject.

I have been thinking about my coverage (or seemingly lack of) recently. Seems to me if, God forbid, something happened to my dependents I could possibly end up in financial hot water just at the time when I need that less. I mean they sell this $100K coverage as if it were offering piece of mind. I would feel a little better if it were $100K USD maybe.

Surely if my understanding of the level of coverage is correct (hired post 97), then someone must have looked into other options beyond what is offered by the company as either standard or additional coverage for dependents.

My question here is does anyone have any suggestions of whom to talk to for getting aditional insurance for my dependants? Also, I am not convinced that the dental arm of QHMS is all that great. Anyone out there who has tried both QHMS and the other panel dentist. Thinking about trying them out but don't want to jump from the pan to the fire.

Thanks guys
