1st Threshold, my friend, you missed my point. I too like the Moray area, which has an awful lot to offer, but as TheSeeFarShadow points out the north of Scotland is not for everyone. The same rings true for the Vomit Comet. The regular chasing of a clockwork submarine in the Malin or D609 is not everyone’s cup of tea and the RAF should not mislead potential WSOp recruits by omitting significant facts about the trade. Encourage them with the truth (detachments etc.)but don’t let them believe that WSOps = SAR and AWACS.
