Thanks for that reply, and to most of the other posters.
Is the DERA jetstream still in that colour scheme?
the aircraft I saw today basically had a red underside, including the wings.
As far as I could see in the short time I had, the first two letters of the registration in large letters on the wing undersides were: either ZX or XZ.
I don't know if this helps at all.

Please, no replies telling me it was the Andover XS606

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I used to be a recognition specialist, but I was laughing too much today, having not noticed the aircraft approach due to ultra loud music.
